  • Invitations to meet in video chat rooms (e.g., Google Hangouts), which we do not currently utilize.
  • Requests to provide payment to participate in the hiring process (e.g., purchasing work equipment, phone, or something similar). Hoffman Media does not use recruiting or placement agencies that charge candidates advanced fees of any kind. We also do not provide advances to cover initial expenses, such as computers or other supplies.
  • Communications that do not include information about a specific job opening (or the job description is vague) and/or extend a job offer without an interview.
  • Job opportunities that come from people you do not know and appear too good to be true.
  • Communications where the recruiter claims to have seen your resume on a site with which you are not familiar.
  • Communications at the application phase requesting your social security number, driver’s license, date of birth, bank account information, or other sensitive personal data.

Accounts Payable Specialist

Hoffman Media LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This position plays a critical role in managing the company’s accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, and maintaining strong internal controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Accounts Payable Processing: Process high-volume accounts payable transactions in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring proper coding, approval, and documentation
  • Vendor Maintenance: Maintain vendor master file, including setup of new vendors, updates to existing vendor information, and ensuring W-9 compliance
  • 1099 Management: Manage the annual 1099 reporting process, including tracking 1099-eligible vendors, reconciling payments, and ensuring timely filing with tax authorities
  • Expense Reporting System: Maintain employee information and approval flows, review expense reports for compliance with company policies, and process reimbursements
  • Prepaid Expense Tracking: Monitor and track prepaid expenses, ensuring proper accounting treatment and timely expensing
  • Journal Entries: Prepare routine and non-routine journal entries related to accounts payable, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations for accounts payable and related accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Filing and Documentation: Maintain organized filing systems for accounts payable documentation in compliance with company policies and audit requirements
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or related accounting function
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives and process automation in accounts payable
  • Experience with Sage 100 accounting system
  • Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements and tax compliance
  • Experience with electronic payment systems and vendor portals

Education: 

Associate’s degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and business experience.

Hoffman Media is seeking a driven, relationship-oriented Brand Partnerships Sales Executive to connect leading CPG and lifestyle brands with our custom cookbook division (83 Press) and cross-platform advertising opportunities across Hoffman Media’s portfolio.

This blended role combines B2B sales, partnership development, and brand storytelling, ideal for a seller who thrives on relationship building, strategic collaboration, and results-driven growth.

We need a closer, someone who knows how to open doors, nurture brand relationships, and deliver multi-channel programs that drive measurable impact for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and close new business opportunities with CPG and lifestyle brands for 83 Press custom cookbooks, branded content, and integrated campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brand, agency, and trade show contacts.
  • Cross-sell Hoffman Media advertising, sponsorship, and content services to expand partnerships.
  • Develop and present partnership proposals tailored to client objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (editorial, creative, marketing, and production) to deliver results.
  • Represent Hoffman Media and 83 Press at relevant industry events (e.g., Fancy Food Show, International Baking Industry Expo).
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue goals through proactive prospecting and relationship management.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Relationships, relationships, relationships-existing connections within CPG, food, or lifestyle brands.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales or brand partnership experience (media, agency, event sponsorship, or content sales).
  • Strong closer with a consultative, solution-based sales approach.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Quick learner who can master both cookbook publishing and advertising sales.
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management.
